Netanyahu Sends RARE MESSAGE of Solidarity to Saudis After Houthi Massacre
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a rare statement of condolence to Saudi Arabia following a devastating Houthi-led attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that killed at least 12 people and injured more than 300 others.
The attack took place Saturday, with a follow-up strike on Sunday that caused a fire at the airport. Airport operations were suspended, and major carriers, including Lufthansa, Emirates, and Air Arabia, canceled flights, while Western embassies issued travel warnings.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia called the attack a “full-fledged war crime” and vowed retaliation. With Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirming that American citizens were killed in the attack, President Donald Trump said he would consider bolstering the Saudi response with U.S. strikes on the Houthis.
In addition, the Houthis struck King Khalid International Airport Wednesday, killing a Sudanese national.
The Israeli premier said he strongly condemned the attack while offering his condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia.
“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the horrific terrorist attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which claimed the lives of 12 innocent people and injured hundreds more,” Netanyahu posted on X.
“On behalf of the people of Israel, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of those murdered and our wishes for a full recovery to the injured,” he continued.
“Terrorism targets innocent people and seeks to spread fear and instability. It must be confronted with resolve,” he declared.
“Israel looks forward to a strong Middle East — one that stands united against threats, protects its people, and builds a future of security, cooperation, and prosperity for all the peoples of our region,” he concluded.
