‘Jew-Haters Rule This Land’: Geert Wilders BLASTS Dutch Leaders Over Pro-Hamas Rally

Oct 12, 2026·3 min read

Geert Wilders, leader of the opposition party in the Netherlands, said that “Jew haters” run the country.

Posting on X alongside a video of protesters holding up signs at the National Monument in Holland saying “We support Hamas,” he wrote, “Amsterdam today. Extreme left mayor and anti-Israeli Prime Minister are silent.”

“The Jew haters rule this land,” he added.

“I would hunt them all down, no support for Hamas in my Amsterdam!” he vowed. “Hopefully soon new elections!”

Wilders had been visiting Belgium, where he had been targeted by a jihadist drone assassination plot. He suspended all campaign activities until the threat against him was eliminated by a successful Belgian police operation, after which he returned to the Netherlands to resume his campaign.

He was apparently not happy with what he found.

“Fans of Hamas. Jew-haters. Extreme left and Islam. Make me prime minister and I’ll hunt down the perpetrators like animals,” he wrote on X.

From the Israeli perspective, Wilders is not far off the mark. Last month, the Netherlands joined 10 other countries in sanctioning Judea and Samaria to punish Israel for its plans to expand settlements and its perceived failure to curb settler violence.

Israel did not take the new sanctions lying down.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar ordered Dutch diplomats working in Ramallah to surrender their Israeli-issued credentials within seven days in retaliation for the Dutch ban on goods and services from Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights, saying that their credentials would expire after a seven-day period.

“If the Netherlands wishes to continue representing its interests with the Palestinians, it may do so from Palestinian Authority territory, rather than from the territory of the State of Israel,” Sa’ar said in a statement at the time.

The move followed the expulsion of Dutch diplomats from the Kiryat Gat International Support Center for Gaza after the Netherlands took measures against Israel.

“I reiterate: Israel will not ignore measures intended to harm it,” the foreign minister declared. “Any country that acts in a hostile and unilateral manner against Israel will lose influence and relevance in the region.”

Sa’ar decried the open antisemitism seen on the streets of the Netherlands and blamed the growing problem on the policies of the Dutch government.

“I also reiterate the urgent need to address the growing antisemitism and incitement openly seen on the streets of the Netherlands. Not only are this antisemitism and incitement not being seriously addressed, but the anti-Israel policies of the Dutch Government are fueling them,” he said.

After the Dutch sanctions, which took effect on Sept. 22 and banned goods and services from areas that the Netherlands deemed illegal, passengers arriving from Israel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol were subjected to unusually lengthy and thorough examinations at customs.
