Israel’s Tel Aviv District Planning and Building Committee has approved construction plans for a permanent United Arab Emirates embassy in Herzliya Pituah, marking a significant step forward six years after Israel and the UAE established diplomatic relations under the Abraham Accords.
The approved proposal permits a building of up to 15 floors, accommodating embassy offices alongside residential quarters for the UAE ambassador and diplomatic personnel. The decision paves the way for the establishment of a permanent headquarters for the UAE’s diplomatic mission in Israel, as regional tensions continue to pose challenges for relations between the two countries.
