JACKSON: $1.65 Million Road Improvement Program Set To Begin, Bringing Repaving And Traffic Safety Upgrades

Oct 13, 2026·1 min read

Jackson Township Mayor Jennifer Kuhn announced Tuesday that the township is moving forward with its $1.645 million Capital Road Improvement Program, with construction expected to begin this week and continue into spring 2027.

The project includes road repaving, sidewalk installations, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and traffic safety improvements throughout the township.

Roadways scheduled for repaving include Linda Drive, Louisiana Parkway, Calvary Court, Shepherds Way, Mt. Olive Lane, Durell Drive, and sections of Stonehenge Court. New sidewalks and pedestrian improvements are also planned along Bartley Road and South New Prospect Road.

Additional traffic-calming measures include new speed tables on Beam Avenue and Patterson Road, radar speed feedback signs on Manhattan Street, Woodlane Road, Yorkshire Drive, and Buckingham Drive, along with upgraded road markings and signage.

Mayor Kuhn said the improvements address long-standing infrastructure concerns and are aimed at making local roads safer for motorists and pedestrians.

Residents should expect temporary traffic delays, construction activity, and possible changes in traffic patterns as work progresses. The township urges drivers to use caution in affected areas.
