The boil water advisory for Monroe Water District #7 has been lifted after laboratory testing confirmed the water is safe for normal use, the Town of Monroe announced.
The advisory had been issued on October 8 following a water service interruption affecting residents in the area, as previously reported by Daily Monroe.
According to the Town of Monroe Water Department, laboratory results showed that all water samples tested negative for bacteria. Officials also said chlorine levels have been restored and remain above the minimum required level.
Residents in the affected neighborhoods can now resume using their water normally without boiling it first.
The Water Department thanked residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the advisory and apologized for the inconvenience.
