IDF Says Four Hamas Operatives Killed in Gaza Strikes, Including October 7 Infiltrator
The Israel Defense Forces said Saturday that recent strikes in the Gaza Strip killed four Hamas operatives, including a militant accused of entering Israel during the October 7, 2023, attack.
According to the military, a Thursday strike killed Mahmoud Khaled Mohammed Madhoun, a member of Hamas’s Nukhba Force who allegedly participated in anti-tank missile attacks against Israeli troops during the war.
Two additional Hamas operatives were killed in separate strikes on Friday, the IDF said. They were identified as Ubaida Suhail Hamad Murtaja, described as a Hamas sniper, and Adham Khalil Mohammed Marouf, whom the military accused of infiltrating Israel during the October 7 assault.
A separate Israeli strike in southern Gaza on Saturday killed another Hamas operative, Abd al-Jawad Juda, according to the army.
The military said all four men had recently been involved in activities directed against Israeli soldiers and civilians, as well as efforts to rebuild Hamas’s operational capabilities. The IDF described these activities as taking place in “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.”
The announcement followed a military statement a day earlier reporting the deaths of two additional Hamas operatives in Gaza strikes.
Those killed were Maher Walid Omar al-Husseini, described by the IDF as a commander of a Nukhba Force unit who entered Israel during the October 7 attack, and Mohammed Mohammed Abd al-Khalek Hala, identified as an official involved in Hamas weapons production.
The latest operations are part of an Israeli campaign that has intensified in recent months against Hamas members operating in Gaza, including individuals accused of participating in the October 7 assault. The military maintains that these operatives continue to threaten Israeli forces.
The IDF has also said its recent targeting efforts have focused on Hamas personnel working to rebuild the group’s military infrastructure, alongside clandestine command facilities and the organization’s mechanisms for maintaining civilian control in Gaza.
