The IDF said Monday evening that a suspected terrorist infiltration alert in Evyatar in the Shomron involved an Israeli civilian, and that there was no concern of a security incident.

The clarification was issued at 8:35 p.m. Israel time (1:35 p.m. ET), following an alert that sounded at about 7:38 p.m. Israel time (12:38 p.m. ET). Residents had been told to enter their safe rooms immediately.

In its initial statement, the IDF said the details were under review and that it was in close contact with local residents and security forces.

Evyatar is located in the Shomron, south of Shechem.
