Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for endorsing him ahead of Israel’s upcoming election, in a phone call video released on Oct. 19.

“I’m so grateful for this incredible endorsement,” Netanyahu told Trump. “You’ve been an incredible leader of the free world, of America. By far, the greatest friend Israel has ever had or will have in the White House.”

“Donald, we have a job to finish. You said it, and we’ll finish it together,” Netanyahu said.

Trump said he wrote the endorsement himself. “That wasn’t one that was put out by some guy writing something. That was crafted by me,” he said.

“You’re a warrior. You’ve been treated unfairly by your country and probably some others also, but you’re a great warrior, and we will prove that very soon,” Trump told Netanyahu. “I think you’re terrific, Bibi, so I was always going to do it. I think you’re going to have a tremendous victory actually.” Trump added: “You’re the man I want by my side, Bibi.”

Netanyahu said the alliance between the two countries “has proven that we can do amazing things together,” and spoke of broadening peace by expanding the Abraham Accords. He declined to name countries, saying they were on an open line.

Netanyahu also said Trump “stood up against the greatest danger that faces” America, “an Iran with nuclear weapons. We won’t let it happen.”
