Lakewood Township has released important voting information for residents ahead of the November 3 General Election, outlining early voting dates, polling locations, and procedures for casting ballots.

Early voting will begin Saturday, October 24, and continue through Sunday, November 1, giving residents nine days to cast their ballots before Election Day.

This year’s ballot includes races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Lakewood Township Committee, Lakewood Fire Commissioner, Lakewood Board of Education, and Ocean County Commissioner, along with ballot questions.

Early voting locations will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Unlike Election Day, when voters must report to their assigned polling locations, Lakewood residents can vote early at any of the 10 designated early voting sites throughout Ocean County. Residents voting outside Lakewood will still receive ballots containing all applicable Lakewood races.

Early Voting Locations:

• Lakewood Municipal Building – 231 Third Street

• Brick Public Library – 301 Chambers Bridge Road

• Jackson Public Library – 2 Jackson Drive

• Toms River Public Library – 101 Washington Street

• Manchester Public Library – 21 South Colonial Drive

• Berkeley Library – 30 Station Road

• Lacey Charles A. Smith Center – 15 East Lacey Road

• Lavallette Upper Shores Library – 112 Jersey City Avenue

• Little Egg Harbor Library – 290 Mathistown Road

• Stafford Ocean County Southern Resource Center – 179 South Main Street

Township officials noted that early voting generally provides shorter lines and greater flexibility, although wait times may increase during the final hours of the early voting period.

There will be no in-person voting on Monday, November 2.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Residents must vote at their designated district polling locations, which are listed on the sample ballots mailed to registered voters.

Lakewood Township is reminding residents to carefully review their sample ballots, as some polling locations have changed since previous elections. An updated list of polling locations by district is also available on the township’s website.

For additional election information, including vote-by-mail options, residents can visit the Ocean County Clerk’s website or call 732-929-2018.
