[Levayah live video below.] It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Malka Grossman a”h of Lakewood, NJ, who passed away on Shabbos morning following a three-year battle with illness. She was just 19 years old.
Malka was the beloved daughter of R’ Meir and Tziporah Grossman of Lakewood. Her prolonged illness prompted an extraordinary outpouring of tefillos and zechusim from Jewish communities across the country, as countless individuals united in davening for her refuah sheleimah.
Tens of thousands of girls recited Tehillim on her behalf, while challah bakes were organized in cities throughout the United States as a zechus for her recovery. Her plight touched hearts far beyond her immediate family and community, inspiring an exceptional display of achdus, compassion, and concern for a fellow Yid.
Throughout the three years of her illness, the tremendous efforts undertaken on her behalf reflected the deep connection felt by so many to Malka and her family. The news of her petirah has brought immense sorrow to the Lakewood community and to the many people who had joined in davening for her.
The levayah is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Bnos Devorah, located at 360 Oak Street in Lakewood, NJ. Kevurah will follow in Lakewood.
