Swastikas & Antisemitic Graffiti Found on Four Williamsburg School Buses

Nov 3, 2026·2 min read

Police are investigating after four school buses serving Satmar, Sanz Klausenburg and Tiferes Yisrael were vandalized with swastikas and antisemitic graffiti early Monday morning near Bedford Avenue and Williamsburg Street West.

The messages included vulgar anti-Jewish and anti-Israel language, along with phrases such as “America First” and “Free Palestine.”

The NYPD’s 90th Precinct and Hate Crime Task Force are investigating, with Williamsburg Shomrim assisting in efforts to obtain surveillance footage and identify the perpetrator. Shomrim coordinator Yanky Itzkowitz said police are treating the incident with urgency and dedicating significant resources to the case.

Gov. Kathy Hochul condemned the attack, saying it was sickening to think of children arriving at school to find swastikas and hateful messages on their buses. She called for those responsible to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Williamsburg Shomrim or NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

The antisemitic vandalism targeting school buses in South Williamsburg is abhorrent. Every New Yorker — especially our children — deserves to live free of such hatred.

My team is in contact with the NYPD and community leaders. We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to confront antisemitism, hold those responsible accountable and ensure that hatred has no place in our city.
