🇺🇸🇮🇷 — REPORT: CENTCOM Responds to Iran Claim U.S. Strike Hit Wedding • U.S. Central Command said it was aware of Iranian state media reports that a U.S. strike hit a wedding in Kuhestak near Sirik in southern Iran, Axios reported. • CENTCOM spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins said the reports originated from Iranian state media and that “the U.S. military never targets civilians, unlike the IRGC.” Earlier accounts said a telecommunications tower in the area was targeted, with casualties among people at a nearby wedding. Iranian state TV reported at least four killed and 35 seriously injured. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Iran would respond “with firmness.”
