Palm Beach County Fires Building Inspector After Alleged Nazi Salute A Palm Beach County building inspector has been fired after a photo circulated showing him allegedly making a Nazi salute during a road-rage incident. The Aug. 22 encounter happened as the employee was driving a county vehicle. He is accused of shouting “Heil Hitler” and throwing a salute at another driver. StopAntisemitism posted the photo, and it spread quickly. County officials say the worker was terminated Aug. 28. The investigation is still open, and the employee has until Sept. 4 to appeal. The county has not released his name, citing threats. The other driver, who has also stayed anonymous, said the clash started when he cut in front of the county vehicle while turning into a shopping plaza. He said he rolled down his window to apologize and was met with antisemitic slurs instead. County Administrator Joseph Abruzzo said there is no place for antisemitism, hatred, or discrimination in Palm Beach County government.
