MIA Still Facing Major Flight Disruptions After Deadly Cargo Crash Miami International Airport is still dealing with delays and cancellations more than a day after a deadly Amazon cargo plane crash Sunday afternoon. The Boeing 767, operated for Amazon by 21 Air, overran Runway 30 after landing from San Juan around 2 p.m. It crossed Northwest 67th Avenue, struck vehicles, and burst into flames. Five people were killed. Five others were injured. Those killed were in two vehicles hit by the plane, including a cleaning-crew van inside the airport and a car on the public road outside, according to the NTSB. Two of MIA’s four runways have remained closed for recovery and the investigation. Travelers are reporting stacked delays, cancellations, diversions, and last-minute gate changes.
