🚨 “LOCK UP ALL ZIONISTS”: ONTARIO COUNCIL CANDIDATE’S SHOCKING CALL This isn’t some anonymous protester shouting from the sidelines. She’s running for public office in Ontario. Rasha Zaid, a candidate for Windsor City Council, was caught on video declaring: “Every person that announces they are a Zionist must be locked up! They are terrorists.” She then adds: “We are not free until they’re not among us.” Zaid later told the Jerusalem Post that she was referring to those who support alleged Israeli war crimes — not people www simply identify as Zionists. There’s just one rather glaring problem with that explanation: She said “EVERY PERSON that announces they are a Zionist.” Whatever one’s views on Israel or the war, a candidate for elected office calling for an entire category of people to be “locked up” should be deeply disturbing. Today, Zionist can mean a multiplicity of things, and antisemites don't care about nuance. They'll just as soon use such statements as justification for attacking Chassidim as well as completely assimilated Jews. And this person is currently asking Ontario voters to entrust her with public office.
