Then Mamdani referred to those murdered on September 11 as people who simply “died,” or were just “lost.” They did not simply die. So we will say it for Mamdani. They were murdered by radical Islamic terrorists. And in his entire 9/11 address, Mamdani never mentioned who carried out the attacks. No reference to al-Qaeda. No reference to radical Islamic terrorism. Just a sterile, context-free retelling. That is like talking about World War II without mentioning Hitler, or Pearl Harbor without mentioning Imperial Japan. No context. No perpetrators. Just history rewritten. The thousands murdered on 9/11 deserve the truth to be said plainly, and to be remembered with the solemnity and respect they earned.
