A massive cyberattack struck hundreds of supermarkets across France overnight, with hackers remotely raising refrigeration temperatures to 122°F (50°C), triggering fires and destroying enormous quantities of fresh and frozen food. Reuters reports. At least 150 Intermarché stores, 80 Carrefour locations and nearly 100 Coopérative U supermarkets were affected, along with other major chains. French authorities have launched an investigation into the unprecedented attack, which caused widespread food losses and disrupted supermarket operations.
