Suspect Arrested After Ramming Shopping Cart Into Chabad Of Coral Springs Menorah During Shabbat A suspect has been arrested after allegedly vandalizing the large outdoor Menorah at Chabad of Coral Springs on Saturday morning. The incident happened around 11 a.m. while congregants were inside the sanctuary for Shabbat services. According to reports, the individual rammed a shopping cart into the electrified Menorah display, causing thousands of dollars in structural and electrical damage. Chabad of Coral Springs, ADL Florida, and the Jewish Federation of Broward County are commending the Coral Springs Police Department and the synagogue’s security team for their quick response that led to the arrest. The Jewish Federation of Broward County is now coordinating with Chabad of Coral Springs to add immediate security equipment and upgrades at the facility.
