The Florida Bar placed computer technician Kade McLendon on administrative leave Tuesday while investigating racist and homophobic messages sent to Miami football player Damon Wilson II following the Hurricanes’ 43-35 win over Florida State. Wilson, who is Black, shared screenshots of the messages Sunday, calling them a “glimpse into the life of a black student athlete.” The Bar said the messages violated its employee social media policy and were “ethically and morally reprehensible.” The investigation is ongoing.
