Holocaust Museum Groundbreaking Set For Early 2027 In Downtown Orlando Orlando’s Appearance Review Board has unanimously approved the new design for the Holocaust Museum for Hope & Humanity, clearing the path toward construction. The $63 million project will repurpose the former chamber of commerce building at 75 S. Ivanhoe Blvd. in the Ivanhoe district and add a 10,000-square-foot exhibition hall. The finished museum will total about 25,345 square feet, 3.5 times larger than the current space. Construction documents are expected by mid-November, after which the city will review permitting. Leaders had hoped to break ground before the end of this year, but the timeline has shifted to early 2027. The core exhibit, called “Hope & Humanity,” will focus on the stories of 10 Holocaust survivors who settled in Central Florida.
