Baltimore City Voters to Decide on Proposed Baby Fund Baltimore City voters will see Question I on their ballots this year. A vote FOR the question would dedicate a percentage of property tax revenue to a new baby fund, aimed at helping families with newborns. Organizers estimate the fund would require over $15 million a year. Eligibility for the fund, and how the money will be given to families, would be decided by the mayor and City Council. An original proposal would have guaranteed $1,000 to every Baltimore baby, but that proposal is NOT what is being offered to voters this election.
