British broadcaster Piers Morgan forcefully confronted senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad during a televised interview, repeatedly challenging the terror leader over Hamas’ October 7 massacre, the murder of Israeli civilians, and the kidnapping of babies and other hostages.

Hamad, one of Hamas’ remaining senior leaders, insisted during the interview that Hamas “does not intentionally target civilians” and claimed the terror group had no policy of killing women and children.

Morgan immediately rejected the assertion.

“That is absolute rubbish, Mr. Hamad. We all saw what happened on October 7th,” Morgan said.

As Hamad attempted to portray the atrocities as isolated mistakes, Morgan pressed him over Hamas’ deliberate attacks on civilians.

“You shot innocent people. Hamas intentionally massacred people at a music festival. Hundreds of young people came to enjoy themselves, and that was a war crime,” Morgan said.

The British journalist also challenged Hamad over the kidnapping of Israeli hostages, asking one of the interview’s most pointed questions: “Why kidnap a baby?”

Hamad repeatedly denied that Hamas intentionally targeted civilians and attempted to shift responsibility, claiming any civilian deaths were the result of individual mistakes rather than official policy.

Morgan rejected those explanations, arguing that the October 7 attack crossed “every moral, ethical and humanity line.”

During the interview, Hamad also refused to commit to Hamas disarming under any future agreement, saying the terrorist organization had accepted recent diplomatic arrangements only because of the current situation in Gaza.

“As Hamas, I can confirm that we didn’t change our mentality,” Hamad said. “Our goal… to continue to end the occupation… because this is our holy mission.”

He added that Hamas may use “different tactics, different tools, different methods” in the future but made clear the group’s objective remains unchanged.

Hamad further denied Hamas is a terrorist organization, claimed the group treated hostages “very, very kind,” and blamed Israel for instability throughout the Middle East.

Hamad previously declared shortly after the October 7 massacre that Hamas would repeat the attack “again and again” until Israel no longer exists. During Monday’s interview, Morgan confronted him with those earlier statements while challenging his attempts to distance Hamas from the atrocities committed during the attack.
