Friends and supporters of the Released Time Program, a project of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE), gathered in a luxury suite at Yankee Stadium for an evening dedicated to advancing Jewish education for children in public schools.

In an uplifting and spirited evening high above the field, supporters came together to help the Released Time Program reach its newest milestone, transitioning 100 Jewish children from New York City public schools into Jewish day schools.

With New York City public schools opening on Thursday, September 10, this year’s first week of Released Time will take place between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Released Time is poised for another landmark year of inspiring Jewish children and strengthening the future of Jewish education.

Friends, community leaders, and corporate sponsors gathered in the suite to enjoy a gourmet kosher buffet, premium open bar, and lively conversation while watching the Yankees in action. According to organizers, the evening reflected a shared commitment to giving every Jewish child the opportunity to receive a Jewish education.

“We are grateful to our supporters and corporate sponsors for standing with us in strengthening Jewish education,” said Rabbi Shimon Hecht, a member of NCFJE’s Executive Committee. “Together, we are giving more Jewish children the opportunity to build a lifelong connection to their heritage.”

Among the evening’s highlights was a special raffle for a treasured dollar received from the Rebbe. Congratulations to Meir Posner, whose ticket was drawn as the winner of this meaningful prize.

Alex Wolf of AWS reflected on why he supports the organization. “Helping a child receive a Jewish education is an investment that lasts a lifetime. It’s an honor to be part of that mission.”

As the Yankees energized the crowd on the field, the enthusiasm inside the suite reflected something even greater, the collective commitment of a community investing in the future of the Jewish people, one child at a time.
