Hundreds of residents gathered Thursday evening at Clover Stadium for the eighth annual National Night Out, sponsored by Polaris Healthcare, bringing together elected officials, law enforcement agencies, first responders, and families for an evening dedicated to strengthening the partnership between public safety agencies and the community.

The free event featured emergency vehicles, K-9 demonstrations, music, face painting, bounce houses, giveaways, an artisan vendor fair, and other family-friendly activities before the New York Boulders game. A special on-field ceremony celebrated the commitment of Rockland County’s first responders while highlighting the importance of building strong relationships between public safety agencies and the communities they serve.

Among those attending were Congressman Mike Lawler, Rockland County Executive Ed Day, Assemblyman Aron Wieder, Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht, New York State Senate candidate Joe Rand, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco, Ramapo Police Chief Daniel Hyman, Rockland County Legislators Jesse Malowitz and Beth Davidson, and John Mulgrew, Chief of Staff to State Senator Bill Weber, who attended on the Senator’s behalf.

The event also featured participation from numerous public safety agencies, including the Ramapo Police Department, Spring Valley Police, Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Hillcrest Fire Department, Chaverim of Rockland, Spring Hill EMS, and Faist EMS. Families had the opportunity to meet first responders, explore police cars, ambulances, fire apparatus, and specialized emergency vehicles, while learning more about the services these agencies provide throughout the year.

Held annually in communities across the nation, National Night Out is designed to strengthen police-community partnerships, promote neighborhood engagement, and recognize the dedication of law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and volunteers who work tirelessly to keep their communities safe.
