Motorists in Rockland County are being advised of upcoming daytime closures on U.S. Route 9W in the Town of Orangetown as the New York State Department of Transportation conducts maintenance work.

Route 9W is expected to be closed in both directions between Hickey Street and Shadyside Avenue on Tuesday, August 11, and Friday, August 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays and allow additional travel time. Motorists will be directed to follow the posted detour while the closures are in effect.
