Israel’s Health Ministry and Magen David Adom have issued a request to the public for blood donations due to a significant shortage of blood supplies, particularly Type O blood.
Health Ministry Director-General Moshe Bar Siman Tov said: “We need to regularly replenish the blood supply, and I call on the public to come and donate.”
“If more than three months have passed since your last donation, come and donate again. Donating blood is a simple act that saves lives, and it is part of our mutual responsibility and the responsibility we all share, both in routine times and in emergencies.”
Potential donors can click on the MDA website or call 03-530040 for more information.
