IRONCLAD COMMITMENT TO LIES: BBC Reporter Drops Interview With Israeli Expert Who Demanded Accuracy
Prof. Mitch Schwaber, the director of Israel’s Health Ministry’s National Center for Infection Control, described a disturbing incident that revealed the BBC’s commitment to lies regarding reports on Israel rather than objective reporting.
Speaking in an interview with Kan Moreshet Radio, Schwaber said that a senior BBC reporter contacted him for a briefing for a special report on the health situation in Gaza. Since he was well aware of the BBC’s slanted reporting on Israel, Schwaber asked the reporter how he could ensure that the information he would provide would be published accurately.
Schwaber presented the reporter with six examples of false BBC reporting, including four “errors” concerning health-related issues and two additional cases that he said involved journalistic negligence.
“I told him if you are really going to do this report and you want my help, then I want to know how you can assure me that this won’t be another case where you publish incorrect information that has real consequences for Israel,” he said.
“The reporter decided not to respond and to give up on the interview,” Schwaber said. “I haven’t heard from him since.”
