This summer marks the second season of Camp Gan Israel, a day camp directed by Mrs. Mussie Zakheim and Mrs. Sara Gila Gutnick.
Serving children from Hillside, Elizabeth, and the surrounding communities—including many students from Cheder Yaldei Menachem—the camp has exceeded all expectations and continues to provide an exceptional summer experience.
Camp Gan Israel is known for its warm, joyful atmosphere, where every aspect of the program is infused with the values of taharas hakodesh and living with Moshiach. Campers enjoy a wide variety of enriching activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, baking, sports, and engaging recreational programs.
The camp’s motto, “Where Every Child Counts,” is reflected in every part of the camp experience. Each child is valued, encouraged, and made to feel truly special and cherished.
In response to its remarkable growth, Camp Gan Israel expanded its operations and is now run in an Elizabeth Public School facility, made possible through the generous cooperation and support of Mayor Chris Bollwage and School Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer.
