An extraordinary copy of one of the most important editions of Tanya ever printed.
Published in Vilna in 1900, this landmark edition established the definitive text of Tanya as it is known today. Carefully proofread by the Rebbe Rashab of Lubavitch, with corrections based in part on manuscripts of the Alter Rebbe himself, this edition became the foundation for virtually every subsequent printing of Tanya — hundreds of editions and hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide.
This particular copy is especially remarkable. It was printed on thick, luxurious “regal paper,” reserved for the finest and most expensive copies, and retains its original deluxe binding. According to the catalog description, this specific style of binding appears to be previously undocumented.
With the Rebbe Rayatz deeply involved in the publication through the Tomchei Temimim Society, this rare volume represents an extraordinary piece of Chabad history — the “Master Edition” that shaped the Tanya for generations to come.
