HORROR IN BEIT SHEMESH: Two Young Children Stabbed; 4-Year-Old Fighting For Life; Attacker Is Mentally Unstable Neighbor

Aug 17, 2026·1 min read

Two young children were seriously wounded Monday afternoon in a shocking stabbing attack inside a residential neighborhood in Beit Shemesh.

The victims, brothers ages 4 and 6, were found suffering from stab wounds after their father returned home and discovered them injured.

Magen David Adom paramedics and emergency responders rushed to the scene and immediately began providing life-saving treatment. The 4-year-old was reported to be in critical condition and unconscious, while the 6-year-old sustained serious injuries.

Both children were transported to the hospital for further treatment.

According to preliminary reports, the incident is believed to be criminal in nature. Initial findings indicate the suspected attacker may be a neighbor suffering from mental instability.

Police flooded the area and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Witnesses also reported hearing what sounded like gunshots during the incident, though authorities have not confirmed those reports.

Further details will be published as they become available.
