Shas Party Unveils Election Slogan: “I Chose the Path of Faith”
The Shas party unveiled its election slogan on Tuesday, emphasizing the message: “I Have Chosen the Path of Faith.”
The words “I Have Chosen the Path of Faith” (בדרך אמונה בחרתי) became widely known in Israel in the zechus of released hostage Agam Berger and her parents, who drew close to Yiddishkeit during Agam’s ordeal.
Following Agam’s release, Israeli singer Moshe Peretz released a song entitled “בדרך אמונה בחרתי” that quickly became popular.
Shas chairman Aryeh Deri said: “The slogan ‘I Have Chosen the Path of Faith,’ a passuk from Tehillim, expresses the source of Am Yisrael’s strength — emunah in the Borei Olam. During the war, we witnessed a spiritual awakening and a growing yearning, particularly among the younger generation, to strengthen their emunah and Jewish identity. Shas is the only party that fights for the Jewish identity of the State of Israel and will continue to do so in accordance with the path of Maran Rabbeinu Ovadia Yosef, zt”l.”
