New York State Senator Bill Weber presented Senate Empire Awards Thursday morning to two Rockland County businesses, YuroCuts and The Diner, recognizing their success and contributions to the local community.

The Empire Award is one of the highest honors a New York State Senator can present to a local business and recognizes businesses that have demonstrated excellence while making a positive impact in the communities they serve.

Weber personally visited YuroCuts, a local barber shop, and The Diner to present the awards and recognize the work and dedication behind each business.

“Small businesses are the backbone of Rockland County’s economy, and the people behind them work incredibly hard every day to serve their customers, create jobs, and contribute to the places we call home,” Weber said. “It is a privilege to recognize YuroCuts and The Diner with the New York State Senate Empire Award and celebrate what they have accomplished.”

Weber has made supporting and recognizing Rockland County small businesses a priority during his time in office, using the Empire Award to highlight entrepreneurs and business owners whose work helps strengthen the local economy.

“Running a successful business takes tremendous commitment, perseverance, and countless hours of hard work,” Weber added. “These awards are an opportunity to recognize that dedication and say thank you for choosing to invest, work, and build here in Rockland County.”

YuroCuts and The Diner now join an elite list of Rockland County businesses previously recognized by Weber with New York State Senate Empire Awards.
