There Is Still a Place for Your Son for This School Year

Aug 24, 2026·2 min read

As the new school year begins, most bochurim are heading back to Yeshiva. But for some families, there is still uncertainty. Maybe your son has not yet found the right Yeshiva. Maybe the options you explored didn’t feel like the right fit. Or perhaps school is beginning and you’re already wondering whether your son will thrive in the environment he is entering.

HaMesivta is still accepting applications for the new school year.

Located in Crown Heights, HaMesivta was created for good bochurim who want to learn, grow, and succeed, but may need something different from the traditional large Yeshiva setting. Some bochurim simply do better with a smaller class, a shorter day, more individual attention, and an environment where they are known and understood.

At HaMesivta, every bochur matters. Small class sizes allow the Rebbeim to really get to know each student—his strengths, his struggles, what motivates him, and what he needs in order to succeed. Rather than expecting every student to fit into one system, the program is designed to meet each bochur where he is and help him move forward from there.

The atmosphere is warm, loving, and caring, with a focus on helping each bochur experience success, build confidence, and develop positive relationships with his Rebbeim, learning, and Yiddishkeit. For Crown Heights families, HaMesivta offers a local option where a bochur can remain close to home while benefiting from a smaller, more personal Yeshiva environment. Sometimes a bochur doesn’t need to be pushed harder—he needs a place that understands him, where he can breathe, succeed, and begin to enjoy learning again.

If your son still does not have the right place for this year—or if you are beginning the year with doubts about whether his current setting will work—it is not too late. HaMesivta is here, and we are still accepting applications.
