Israeli wounded in Jordan Valley terror attack

A 24-year-old Israeli man was moderately wounded on Sunday in a stabbing near the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley, according to the Israel Defense Forces and emergency responders.

Magen David Adom paramedics and IDF personnel treated the victim at the scene for a penetrating injury before evacuating him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Israeli security forces launched a pursuit of the terrorist, the IDF said, setting up road blockades and conducting searches across the surrounding area.

The military said it remained in close contact with local residents and security officials throughout the ongoing operation.
