Rabbi Mendel and Mushka Dubrowski will be moving on the Rebbe’s Shlichus to start a New Chabad House in the community of West Philadelphia, PA.
West Philadelphia, once home to a thriving Jewish community of over 75,000 Jews in the 1950s, is now experiencing a remarkable resurgence of Jewish life. The local Jewish population continues to grow as young professionals and families put down roots. Today, upwards of 4,000 Jews call West Philly home.
A New Shlichus Begins Here.
Our mission is to create a warm and welcoming Jewish community where every Jew—regardless of background or level of Jewish knowledge—feels valued, connected, and inspired. From the very beginning, we plan to offer Torah classes, meaningful mitzvah opportunities, holiday programs, community Shabbat dinners, and engaging programs for children and families.
A New Chabad House needs Funding.
As we begin a new Shlichus from the ground up, with no existing infrastructure or financial support, we turn to our friends and colleagues and ask that you partner with us in Kickstarting our Shlichus. Your partnership will enable us to bring this dream to life and lay the foundation for generations of Jewish life in West Philly.
Our goal—as is the goal of every Chabad House around the globe—is to bring more light into the world by adding in Torah & Mitzvos, ultimately bringing about the Coming of Moshiach, may it be speedily in our days. Amen!
Thank you very much for partnering with us in our Shlichus.
