
Spring Valley Police, State Liquor Authority Find Violations at Five Restaurants; One Shut Down
The Spring Valley Police Department, working with investigators from the New York State Liquor Authority, conducted a joint enforcement operation on August 21 at several bars and restaurants throughout the Village of Spring Valley, resulting in Alcoholic Beverage Control violations at every location inspected.
Authorities inspected El Ray Del Pollo at 80 East Route 59, Papusa Magica Restaurant & Bar at 96 East Route 59, El Rodeo Steakhouse at 180 East Route 59, El Pollo Grande Restaurant at 39 South Main Street, and Guadalajara Restaurant and Bar at 180 East Route 59.
Police said violations of New York’s Alcoholic Beverage Control laws were identified at each establishment.
During the inspection of Guadalajara Restaurant and Bar, investigators found a large number of patrons under the age of 21 who had allegedly been served and were in possession of alcoholic beverages, along with several additional violations. The establishment was ordered closed for the remainder of the evening.
The New York State Liquor Authority will handle the continuing investigation into the violations.
