DELTA IS BACK: Airline To Resume Daily Nonstop JFK-Tel Aviv Flights On September 6
Delta Air Lines announced Wednesday that it will resume nonstop service between New York’s JFK Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on September 6, restoring a major U.S.-Israel route following its suspension during the war with Iran.
The airline will operate one daily flight in each direction using an Airbus A330-900neo, featuring Delta One business class.
“The resumption of service follows a thorough review of the evolving security environment in the region,” Delta said in a statement. “The safety and security of our customers and employees remain our top priority, and Delta will continue to monitor the situation closely in coordination with aviation authorities and government agencies.”
The New York-to-Tel Aviv flight is scheduled to depart JFK at approximately 3:40 p.m. and arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at 9:25 a.m. the following morning, though schedules may vary.
The return flight is scheduled to depart Tel Aviv at approximately 11:35 a.m. and arrive in New York at 5 p.m.
Delta and other U.S. carriers suspended their Tel Aviv routes following the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel war with Iran in late February.
United Airlines is preparing to resume its own nonstop New York-Tel Aviv service two days later, on September 8.
American Airlines, meanwhile, has suspended its Tel Aviv service through March 27, 2027.
