Rabbonim, Shluchim from around the world, public figures, business leaders and hundreds of residents of Savyon gathered Monday night for the wedding of the Schnur and Bistritzky families.
The wedding, held at the Avenue event hall in Airport City, celebrated the marriage of Chaya Bistritzky, daughter of Rabbi Shmuel Bistritzky, Shliach of Savyon, and the chosson, Shaya Schnur, son of Rabbi Gershon Schnur, Chabad Shliach in Ganei Tikva.
Among the prominent rabbonim attending were Rabbi Yitzchak Yehuda Yaroslavsky, senior Chabad Rov in Israel; former Chief Rabbis Rabbi Shlomo Amar and Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau; the Sassover Rebbe; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, Rov of the Chabad community in Rechovot and member of the Chabad Beis Din; Kotel Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz; Rabbi Tzion Cohen, Chief Rabbi of Or Yehuda; and Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Brodman, Rabbi of Munich.
Also in attendance were Israel’s Minister of Religious Services Michael Malchieli, Health Minister Uriel Buso, Rabbi Uri Sadan, and numerous communal activists and public figures.
The chuppah ceremony was emceed by presenter Efraim Kamisar and officiated by the kallah’s grandfather, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Aharonov, Chairman of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in Israel. Members of both families who serve as rabbonim and Chabad Shluchim were honored with the brachos.
Throughout the evening, a steady stream of guests arrived to celebrate with the families, including many friends and associates of Rabbi Bistritzky from Savyon and Rabbi Schnur from Ganei Tikva.
The large gathering brought together figures from across Israel’s Chabad community, alongside hundreds of Savyon residents and prominent members of Israel’s business and public sectors.
