
Haverstraw Police Arrest Man in Burglary at Manny Lopez Baseball Field
A Haverstraw man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into a burglary at the Manny Lopez Baseball Field in the Village of Haverstraw.
Haverstraw Police said officers responded to the village-owned baseball field on Sunday, August 23, after receiving a report of a burglary. Investigators determined that someone had unlawfully entered a building on the property and stolen two pieces of power equipment.
Following an investigation, police identified a suspect in connection with the incident.
On Wednesday, August 26, Haverstraw Police arrested Robert Hernandez, 39, of Haverstraw. He was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Hernandez was arraigned in Village of Haverstraw Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility.
The charges are accusations, and Hernandez is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
