The Village of Nyack celebrated the completion of its new Shoreline Pathway at Memorial Park on Thursday morning with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony along the village’s waterfront.

Nyack Mayor Joe Rand joined state and local officials, project leaders and community members for the ceremony, celebrating the completion of another major investment in the village’s waterfront and public recreational spaces.

The new pathway expands public access to the Hudson River waterfront and further enhances Memorial Park for residents and visitors.

Also taking part in the ceremony was New York State Deputy Secretary of State Kisha Santiago, along with members of Nyack’s Waterfront Committee, engineers and design professionals, builders and project contributors, and members of the community.

The project is part of the Village of Nyack’s continued efforts to improve its waterfront, expand recreational opportunities and create welcoming public spaces along the Hudson River.

Thursday’s ribbon cutting officially marked the completion and opening of the new shoreline addition, with officials recognizing those involved in planning, designing and constructing the project.
