An Australian delegation traveled to Israel for a special visit in support of IDF soldiers, learning firsthand about the work of the Ezer LaChayal organization before rolling up their sleeves to pack supplies for soldiers serving on the front lines.

After an approximately 24-hour journey from Australia to Israel, a delegation of young Chabad Chassidim from Tzach Da Minyan Shule, led by Shliach Rabbi Moshe Kahn of Tzach Melbourne, Australia, arrived for a special mission to strengthen IDF soldiers in partnership with Ezer LaChayal in Kfar Chabad.

The delegation began its visit at the Ezer LaChayal command center in Kfar Chabad, where members received an up-close look at the scope of the organization’s operations and the assistance it provides to soldiers and families of reservists.

They were introduced to the organization’s advanced logistical and technological system, which enables soldiers to submit secure digital requests throughout the year. The system allows Ezer LaChayal to manage requests received from the field in real time, from the initial submission through the delivery of needed equipment.

The delegation also learned about Ezer LaChayal’s mobile emergency command center, which operates at military staging areas on the front lines and provides immediate assistance based on requests from soldiers received through the organization’s Kfar Chabad headquarters.

Members of the delegation said they were deeply impressed by the scope of the operation and the dedication of its volunteers.

For nearly three years, Ezer LaChayal volunteers have worked continuously to boost the morale of IDF soldiers and strengthen them both materially and spiritually. The organization has provided soldiers with essential equipment valued at millions of shekels, in an effort described as a major Kiddush Hashem.

The delegation later gathered for a Chassidic farbrengen at Gutmans Shul, attended by Lt. Col. B.H., commander of the logistics unit in the IDF Cyber Directorate.

The commander came especially to express his appreciation for the organization’s steadfast support of IDF soldiers and to explain the importance of its work to soldiers serving on the front lines across the various sectors.

During the farbrengen, Rabbi Kahn spoke about the special merit of those who defend the Jewish people and the privilege and responsibility to stand alongside them and strengthen them in every way possible, including through the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim.

Putting the principle of “Hamaaseh Hu Ha’ikar” — action is the main thing — into practice, the delegation members concluded their visit by rolling up their sleeves and joining the work at the command center.

They personally packed dozens of boxes containing material and spiritual supplies for IDF soldiers as part of the organization’s efforts ahead of the month of Elul and Rosh Hashana.

After traveling thousands of miles and spending nearly a full day in the air, the delegation concluded its visit at the heart of the operation — not only seeing and learning about the work being done, but taking an active role in the mission of strengthening IDF soldiers.
