The Noam L’Yisrael party announced that it will hold an urgent protest tonight at 9:00 p.m. outside the gates of Prison 10 in the wake of the imprisonment of 16 soldiers who heeded their Rabbanim and refused to enter an APC together with a female paramedic.

Prominent Rabbanim from Noam L’Yisrael, public figures, and a large crowd are expected to take part in the protest.

“It’s unfathomable that in the army of the Jewish state, observing halacha is considered a criminal offense,” the protest organizers said.

Party chairman Avi Maoz has been a fierce critic of the IDF’s dismissive attitude toward religious soldiers in the IDF, emphasizing that this attitude proves that the IDF has no interest in truly recruiting Chareidim but instead wants to reeducate them.
