
Finkelstein Memorial Library Announces September Schedule Changes and Weekend Closures
The Finkelstein Memorial Library has announced several schedule changes for September, including holiday hours and temporary weekend closures.
The library will open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, for staff development, and will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
On Friday, September 11, Erev Rosh Hashanah, the library will operate on a shortened schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The library will also be closed on Monday, September 21, for Yom Kippur.
In addition, officials announced that the library will be closed on Saturdays beginning September 5, as well as on Sundays from September 6 through October 4, in an effort to manage resources effectively.
The library’s Board of Trustees will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:30 p.m.
Regular library hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., except during the temporary Sunday closures. All patrons and staff are required to exit the building at closing time.
