The Health Ministry announced Monday evening that it had received a report of another person suspected of having Ebola after returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

“The individual, who returned to Israel several days ago, sought medical treatment after developing a fever and additional symptoms. At this stage, this is only a suspected case, and the necessary tests are currently being conducted. The test results are expected to be received in the coming days. The individual will be treated under isolation conditions in accordance with the professional protocols established for dealing with high-risk infectious diseases and will be transferred to Ichilov Medical Center, which has been designated as one of the centers equipped to receive suspected cases of this kind," the Ministry said.

In accordance with established procedures, the Health Ministry is completing an epidemiological investigation in order to identify relevant contacts.
