Senior officials in Arab countries are expressing growing frustration over the continuing confrontation with Iran, warning that the current situation cannot become a permanent regional reality and calling for a political solution, Kan News reports.

A senior Emirati official, responding to Iran’s latest strike against American bases in the Gulf, said the region needs a “realistic political solution” rather than an open-ended cycle of attacks and retaliation.

A Jordanian official told Kan News that despite the Iranian attack, Jordan remains committed to reducing tensions and preventing a broader regional escalation. Arab governments in the region are increasingly concerned that the continuing military pressure, retaliatory strikes and uncertainty surrounding Iran could become a long-term reality rather than a temporary crisis.

The frustration reflects a broader concern among U.S.-aligned Arab states that while they oppose Iranian attacks and regional destabilization, they also do not want the confrontation to spiral into a prolonged full-scale war that could threaten their own security and economies.

Officials are therefore continuing to push for a diplomatic framework that would bring the confrontation under control and provide a more stable long-term arrangement.
