Frustration is growing among Yesh Atid’s current Knesset members ahead of party chairman Yair Lapid’s expected announcement of the placements on the new Beyachad party slate for the next Knesset, which is expected to be released this Motzei Shabbos, according to a report Monday evening by Kan News.

At the center of the internal criticism is the way the election campaign is being run. One current Yesh Atid MK told Kan News that former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s team has effectively taken control of the operation.

“The campaign is being run by Bennett’s people. Yesh Atid’s veteran MKs aren’t involved at all. And even the mistakes that were made didn’t change that,” the MK said.

The frustration is being compounded by expectations that most of Yesh Atid’s current lawmakers will not return to the Knesset after the upcoming election. The party currently has 24 MKs, but only a small number are expected to receive high positions on the new slate.

Among those expected to receive prominent positions are Vladimir Beliak, Naor Shiri, Merav Ben Ari and Meirav Cohen. Retired Maj. Gen. Noam Tibon, who was recently given a reserved spot on the slate, is also expected to receive a position considered likely to win a Knesset seat.

The developments come amid a wave of departures from Yesh Atid. MKs Boaz Toporovsky, Ron Katz and Meir Cohen have already announced that they are leaving the party. Yoav Segalovich and Elazar Stern have announced that they will run with other parties — Ra’am and Yashar, respectively.

MK Mickey Levy may also soon announce that he will not run on the party’s slate in the upcoming election, according to current assessments.
