The “Nos’im LaRebbe” organization is expanding its activities and launching a special raffle for Chabad Chassidim around the world.

Two winners will each receive $1,600 toward the cost of a flight to the Rebbe for the month of Tishrei.

The raffle will take place this coming Tuesday, the 26th of Elul.

Registration costs just $3 click here. To date, 17 residents of Eretz Yisroel have won the organization’s raffles and traveled to the Rebbe as the shluchim of all those who participated.

Now, for the first time, “Nos’im LaRebbe” is opening a separate raffle especially for Chabad Chassidim throughout the world.

In a letter concerning a raffle winner traveling to the Rebbe, the Rebbe wrote:

“«It would be appropriate for the winner to be considered the shliach of all the participants—for a person’s shliach is like the person himself. Consequently, through the winner’s journey, to a certain extent, each and every one of them is traveling.”

The tradition of holding a raffle for a journey to the Rebbe began during the early years of the Rebbe’s nesius. The idea was that every Chossid would contribute a small amount, enabling one winner to travel as the shliach of all the participants.

The Rebbe showed special attention to the raffle winner—not as a private individual, but as the representative of hundreds and thousands of Anash in Eretz Yisroel. The Rebbe regarded the shliach’s journey as, in a spiritual sense, the journey of all those who participated:

«“Although only one person wins the journey, all the participants should make the appropriate preparations as though they themselves were traveling.”»

In some years, the Rebbe even recorded the names of the raffle winners in his personal notes.

Every person who enters the raffle is considered, in a sense, to be joining the journey to the Rebbe.

Over the course of the last 17 raffles, hundreds of people have participated and merited to be represented at the Rebbe.

“Nos’im LaRebbe” holds raffles for flights to the Rebbe in connection with significant dates on the Chassidic calendar, including Tishrei, Yud Shevat, Yud-Alef Nissan and Gimmel Tammuz.
