My name is Yaakov Gross. I am a sofer stam over 30 years ago, and a father of eight wonderful children who depend on me for everything.

For the past seven years, I been battling a severe heart condition that has completely changed my life.

During these years, I have suffered five heart attacks, undergone countless catheterizations, and recently endured a major heart surgery meant to save my life. My body is weak, and every day is a struggle to breathe, to stand, to continue being a father to my children.

The illness didn’t only stop my heart ! it stopped my livelihood !!!

Because of my medical condition, I can no longer work as a sofer stam as I have my entire life. The medical expenses, hospital stays, medications, and constant travel to treatments have added up to overwhelming amounts.

Slowly, large debts have accumulated debts I simply cannot handle, And with a heart as fragile as mine, the constant pressure and fear from these debts is itself dangerous stress is not just painful, it is life threatening.

I was always the one who worked, who supported the home, who managed everything on my own. Today, I no longer can.

I am reaching out to you from the depths of my heart

I am asking for your help so I can cover the debts created by my treatments, purchase essential medications, and support my family through this difficult period until, with G-d’s help, I can stand on my feet again
