Since 2019, Hyatt and American have had a partnership with a fast track for status and other perks for reciprocal elite benefits, earnings, and redemptions.
You can link your AA and Hyatt accounts here on AA.com or here on Hyatt.com.
I was able to get AA Executive Platinum status for many years thanks to having Hyatt Globalist status.
That partnership will soon conclude. Linking accounts will end on 11/15/26. Earning AA awards through Hyatt milestones will end 12/31/26. Earning Hyatt awards through Loyalty Point Rewards will end 2/28/27. There will apparently be no fast track for elite status offered this year either.
Hyatt will soon replace that partnership with Delta.
There will be elite reciprocity and dual earnings for elite members of either program. More information will be released in the coming months.
Hyatt also has a reciprocal elite benefit partnership with Air Canada.
With Marriott being tied to United, I wouldn’t be surprised to see American and Hilton work something out in the future as well.
Will you miss the AA-Hyatt partnership?
