A terrorist involved in the murder of Shalom (Shuli) Har-Melekh was elimianted Wednesday.

Har-Melekh was the husband of MK Limor Son Har-Melekh. Limor, pregnant with their second child at the time, suffered severe injuries in the attack, and shortly afterwards delivered the couple's daughter prematurely.

Responding to the elimination of Farah Hamed, a senior member of Hamas' military wing and a member of the Silwad terrorist cell that murdered her husband, she wrote, "Another circle closed! Farah Hamed, a senior member of Hamas' military wing and a member of the Silwad cell that murdered my husband, Shuli Har-Melech, was eliminated today in the Gaza Strip, thank G-d."

Hamed, 43, was eliminated Wednesday in a strike on a motorcycle on Al-Rashid Street in western Gaza City.

He was one of the leaders of the Silwad cell in the Ramallah district. He was arrested in 2004 and sentenced to three life terms for his role in the October 2003 terrorist attack near the village of Ein Yabrud, in which three Duchifat Battalion soldiers were murdered: Staff Sergeant Erez Idan, 20, of Rishon Lezion; Sergeant Elad Pollak, 19, of Kiryat Motzkin; and Sergeant Roi Yaakov Solomon, 21, of Tel Aviv.

The Silwad cell was linked to a series of additional terrorist attacks. In August 2003, its members murdered Shalom Har-Melech, Limor's husband, in a shooting attack. In November 2002, the cell murdered Esther Galia; and in June 2003, it murdered Zvi Goldstein.

In 2011, Hamed was released as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange and deported to the Gaza Strip. After arriving in Gaza, he became a leading figure in Hamas' Judea and Samaria headquarters, which worked from the Gaza Strip to direct terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria.

Son Har-Melech linked his release in the prisoner exchange to the law imposing the death penalty for terrorists.

"His release and the release of the other murderers are proof of the existential necessity of the death penalty for terrorists law, which we had the privilege of passing about six months ago," she said.

"Every terrorist who has murdered Jews should know: Even if he is released, even if he escapes, and even if many years pass, the long arm of the people of Israel will reach him," she added.

"Thank you to the IDF soldiers and security forces who today closed an important and painful circle. May the memories of Shuli and all those murdered by the Silwad cell be blessed."
